Easily visible due to their black and yellow colours.
A green light on top of the cab means that it's available.

The minimum fare is 1,10 euros
You have to pay an extra if you get it from a train station or the airport.

Bus and Underground

Barcelona has a big underground network that take you to the main tourist interests.

The Underground:
Goes from 5 a.m to 12 p.m of monday to Thursday.
from 5 a.m to 2 a.m friday, saturday and the day before a non-working day.
From 6 a.m to 2 a.m non-working days and the day before non-working days.
from 6 a.m to 12 p.m (Sundays).

You can obtain an Underground and Bus line map in any Underground station and in TMB offices.

Day buses:
Work from 5-6 a.m to 11-12 p.m.
There are night buses as well.

The bus and Underground fare is the same, 1,20 euro.

But there's the possibility of buying a 10 journeys travel card that makes travel around Barcelona cheaper.
The travelcards are sold in banks and cigar stores.


Appart from the lines that connect Barcelona with near cities, Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat have two main lines:
One from Plaza Catalunya to Tibidabo.
The other from Plaza Catalunya to Sarrià.

The ticket fare is also 1 euro.

Bus and Underground travelcards are valid here.

Tourist transports

There's a Tourist Bus that offers the most interesting tourist sights of Barcelona, offering two different tours.
The tour starts in Plaza de Catalunya (in front of El Corte Inglés).
15 euros day.

There are some other tours transports as well:

Cable railway: from Montjuïc to the Port.
4,50 euros w / return.

The Tramvia Blau: last streetcar in Barcelona, from Plaça Kennedy to the Tibidabo funicular.
2,70 euros w / return.

The different ships: that start their tours in Port Vell (at the end of Ramblas) and go through the harbour and Barcelona coast.
